The Kiwi once he had some wings
but a lazy bird was he
He used to walk instead of fly
to look for grubs you see


One day the Kiwi thought he'd use his wings
But alas they would not go
For the talents we don't use
We lose as you should know.


Now the Kiwi has to walk
Instead of being free
He builds his nest upon the ground
And not up in the trees.
